		<description>Sailor, you&#039;ll be pleased to know that all the ticks where removed using a tick removal tool,the old vaseline trick is mostly advised against these days for the reasons that you&#039;ve mentioned. this was a fantastic weekend and a few ticks won&#039;t stop me returning,no matter how big they are!

Thought you needed to know this, I have been talking with some Forestry Commission contacts who say covering ticks with vaseline is now frowned on, the thinking behind this is, in the ticks panic to stop being sofocated it regurgitates back into its host eg you and me! including any nasties!! (I think I have been lucky, have used this method often over the years without any probs!!)
