2008 – A Year In Review

By Pablo | Posted in video
December 14th, 2008

It’s probably a good time to have a look at what has happened over the past year… so if you’ve got 8 mins 8 secs to spare, why don’t you share it with me? As they say in all good review features, ‘… includes previously unseen footage.’

Many thanks to all those who contributed in some way and thanks to you, one of the many visitors who have supported this site.

Pablo.

First off Pablo Hope your recovery progresses smoothly & according to plan (I know “somewhat” how you feel having previously broken a “small” bone in my foot) You seem to have an eye for detail I really envy as in urban situations I tend to notice things just as they leave my periphal vision so far my best nature shot is a pic of a sparrowhawk in my garden taken on my camera phone all the best to you & a Merry Crimbo to you & yours

Beautiful!! Absolutely captures the essence of being outdoors

BTW – the bird hiding in the mud – what was it?

    Cheers

  9. Pablo says:

    Thanks everyone for your comments.
    Ali-That’s a lapwing chick

  10. Ali says:

    Ah Ok, thanks.
Allegedly, We have about 11 pairs of these nesting around a body of fresh water, here in Jersey . They are at their southermost distribution here – again, allegedly!
Having never seen one before, it could have been a seagull chick to me!! Honestly, how ignorant can one possibly be?!

    :)

    Hi Paplo!

I’ve been away from BCUK for a while (commitments abroad). An inspirational video and a lovely round up of a year in the British outdoors- showed me: a) What I’ve been missing these last few months and b) What can be achieved with the right knowledge and an eye for the aesthetic.

Sorry to see you’ve picked up an injury but glad it hasn’t stopped you getting out.

Best wishes to you and yours for a merry Christmas and I look forward to more from one of my favorite bookmarks in the New Year

What a lovely review of 2008 – is that Simon chopping wood? I wondered if there would be a picture of our October woods weekend, sad there wasn’t. Great set of pictures.
