I like the tipi, when Bernie and I go long distance hiking we sleep out under the stars when the weather is nice, but when we need a bit of shelter from the elements, we use a silicone impregnated tarp, and set it up with our trecking poles. It has worked wonderfully for us on all of our adventures! Thanks for sharing your adventure! Wow, looks like quite the outing.
