Woodlife Trails and the National Trust

Woodlife Trails is priviledged to be able to run some of our courses at the National Trust’s wonderful Hatfield Forest.

We have a special association with the National Trust. We assist the Trust running some of their WildCamp Experience weekends and provide Nature Awareness, Bushcraft education and Tracking instruction to those who come on them.

We also assist the Trust in monitoring the wildlife seen in the area. The unique immersion nature of our courses allows our course particpants to get up close and personal to the forest inhabitants; thereby allowing them to see wildlife not normally observed.

Hatfield Forest is an ancient hunting forest mentioned in the Doomsday book. The Forest covers 1,049 acres of woodland, wood-pasture with ancient trees, lake and marsh. It is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a National Nature Reserve. It’s approximately 40 minutes north east of London by car, just off Junction 8 of theM11 motorway and Bishops Stortford.

Our association has grown over the years and we are grateful to the staff at Hatfield Forest for supporting us.
