Woodlife Trails has access to a number of unique and beautiful locations, the like of which is mostly unavailable to other Wilderness and Bushcraft schools. We are extremely grateful to the landowners for giving us their permission to share their woodlands and forests.
We are based at Hatfield Forest, Essex. Hatfield is owned and managed by the National Trust. It is an ancient hunting forest mentioned in the Doomsday book. The Forest covers 1,049 acres of woodland, wood-pasture with ancient trees, lake and marsh. It is designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest and a National Nature Reserve.
It’s approximately 40 minutes north east of London by car, just off Junction 8 of theM11 motorway and Bishops Stortford.
Currently, all of our Countryside, Tracking and Family Bushcraft, Tracking and Wildcamping courses take place at Hatfield Forest.
