I’ve been tracking for longer than I can remember, but haven’t really known what I’ve been doing or how I’ve been doing it! I attended a tracking course with Ian “Max” Maxwell from Shadowhawk which really opened my eyes into what I should be doing. I’m now totally hooked on this aspect of wildlife and bushcraft.

It fuses my philosophies of getting close to wildlife and the natural environment, trying to understand animals and using some aspects of bushcraft in order to achieve my aims.

I’m now a mentor for Shadowhawk and I’ve started some instructional work. I’ve been to Namibia to learn tracking form the Ju’/Hoansi bushmen and hoping to broaden my experience in other parts of the world.

I am the wildlife feature writer for Bushcraft and Survival Magazine exlaining how I manage to get close to wildlife and I have had some other odds and ends published.

Here are a few pictures of tracks and signs. You might need an updated version of Macromedia flash to view them.
